One Year Blog Anniversary

Same time last year, I hit that publish button on my first blog post. I cannot believe I've been writing this blog for a whole year already! Sure time flies by fast! Happy anniversary, HelloClarisa.com! 🎉 I am really proud of this blog because one of my big weaknesses is being consistent with things that I start. Luckily, it turned out different with this blog (I hope I'm not getting ahead of myself LOL).

I remember it was the night of Valentine's day when was just randomly reading blogs. I was just at home because I got no date, screw long distance! Haha. Anyway, as I came across different blogs, I realised I missed blogging. I actually felt envious of their blogs because I want the same for myself; my own blog where I can release my thoughts; a diary where I can store my memories and look back when I want to. So my bored and jealous self right away purchased a domain, a hosting plan, and a Wordpress template. That was how spontaneous and impulsive it went. I stayed up so late just to fix everything! To be honest, the first few weeks, I had thoughts that this will end up like the others -- the first few months I will update the site, publish a couple of posts; then the next few months, it will get slowly neglected; and ultimately, it will get taken down -- this cycle happened to God-knows-how-many blogs I have owned since I was introduced to the blogging world. I am so glad everything fell into place. I think I have already found my 'blogging momentum' through this blog. I have no plans of halting now.

Anyway, I did not write this post to list all the milestones and statistics of what my blog has achieved over the past year (and I'm not doing that because of the fact that I don't have the numbers to boast haha). Instead, I want to express my heartfelt thanks and happiness to all the people who have supported my blog, especially those who I became friends with. I initially thought my readers will just be my boyfriend and sisters. Like, seriously! Haha! From the bottom of my heart, thank you guys for reading and commenting on my posts, or even just by simply visiting my blog, it means a lot! I hope you guys will stick around for another year! ♥️

I am already hoping that next year, I get to do this post again -- to greet my blog's second birthday. But for now, I'm just very grateful we got through the first year!
